German speaking countries Quiz

A differentiated quiz with 45 fact-packed questions for 50 points. This activity is based on the topics of arts, history and politics, geography, food and drink, travel and tourism in some German-speaking countries. Three levels of differentiation with answer sheets! It is advised that learners should use an electronic device, e.g. computer, notebook or at least a mobile phone in order to research their answers. The countries included are Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein and Switzerland, with one question on Namibia. The two answer sheets differ only in that one is in English and the other is in German. All questions are the same at all levels on all 3 question sheets, though one English version has the number of points to be gained written into each section and into answer boxes if more than 1 point to help learners. The medium version is all in English with no hints for amount of points. The harder version is all in German, no hints of points and comes with its own German answer sheet. Obst Gemüse Fruit and veg 4 worksheets

Fruit and Veg in German: Students are required to describe pictures before answering 2 questions in more detail. These 4 worksheets are ideal for cover, independent work or to fuel discussion between learning partners. Although the worksheets are numbered, this is purely for teacher/student reference as there is no particular order in which they need to be completed. How about laminating these worksheets and let groups of students work on them to create a poster with a copy of the picture in the middle and their answers written around the edge? Then ask each group to present their findings. This could result in a good class discussion… Now, are tomatoes actually a vegetable or a fruit? Why can or can’t bananas grow where you live? Please kindly respect the time it took me to construct the enclosed sheets, so please be fair to me and do not pass this resource to colleagues, unless you or your school have purchased the school licence for this resource too. Thank you. :) If you like these, please leave me a review and check back to see what else is new in my store at any time. Thank you. ©MosaiK

49 flags to help your students count from 0 to over one million. A few flags have been left blank for you to add anything you like. Please note that this is the American (US) English version. Each page features 3 bunting triangles to print and cut out. I would suggest you hang the bunting in numerical order. The numbers are color-coded to help students make comparisons and draw conclusions on the numerical system. Print on card or on paper and laminate. If like me you like a no-fuss assembly, punch each triangle at the top with a 2-hole punch, pull a string/ribbon through the holes front to back and to the front again. A piece of sticky tape at the back will stop each triangle from moving along the string/ribbon. Please kindly respect the time it took me to construct the enclosed sheets.
